Srinagar: Alleging Central Government of not responding to PDP’s suggestion for Ramadhan ceasefire, Engineer Nazir Yatoo PDP leader from Budgam has said that had Govt gone ahead with the advise of Mehbooba Mufti , all this mayhem would not have happened in Kashmir during last 22 days of Ramadan.
In a statement PDP leader Engineer Yatoo said that PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had requested the Government of India to announce a ceasefire for Ramzan 2019.
“Mehbooba ji had suggested that search operations in Jammu and Kashmir should be stopped for the holy month of Ramadan so that people of the state have at least a month of relief, but this was not respected and more than 25 young boys (civilans and militants both) have died during last 22 days ” said Eng Yatoo
He appealed PM Narendra Modi to show statesmanship vis a vis Kashmir issue and urged for a fresh dialogue process as soon as possible with people of J&K and Govt of Pakistan.
