Muzaffar Hussain Beigh is the founder member & patron of J&K Peoples Democratic Party. He was born on 8 May 1946 at Wahdina Baramulla and did his masters from Harvard Law School.
He was born on 08 May, 1946 at Wahdina, a small hilly village in Baramulla. He did his masters degree from Harvard Law School and worked as advocate in top law firms of USA and India. He has also served as Advocate General of J&K from 1987 to 1989.
Beigh Sb started his political journey in 1996 with Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference Party where he held the position of Vice-Chairman. In 2002, he fought the election and won from Baramulla constituency. He served as Deputy Chief Minister under Mufti Mohammad Sayeed led PDP-Cong government till 2006.
He also held the position of Law Minister and Parliamentary Affairs Minister in the state cabinet from the period of 2002-2006. He was again elected to the Legislative Assembly of the J&K state in 2008.
Muzaffar Hussain Beigh was elected to the Lok Sabha from Baramulla parliamentary seat and is currently serving as Member Parliament.
