The party on Tuesday expressed serious concern over the unending power crisis taking toll in Kashmir valley amid harsh winters, stating that scores of far-flung areas at present are reeling under dreadful darkness with administration acting as a mute spectator.
Party General Secretary & former minister, Mr Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura said the power scarcity has been affecting people constantly and government’s non- serious approach in ending the crises is questionable. He said children and aged people including patients are facing tough ordeals due to erratic power supplies in Kashmir and in several areas, electricity is snapped for days together.
The Party General Secretary also visited various areas of central Kashmir and met scores of peoples delegations in Chrarisharif town, Hafroobatapora, Sursyar, Pethyar, Bonyar, Choudharygund
He also expressed concern over snail’s pace of work going on at present over project related to the commissioning of receiving stations of Hanjura and Chrarisharif which were initiated by the PDP led Governet in the past. Party leader questioned why till date the project hasn’t been completed and the reasons for such a snail’s pace of work on it.
He also stated that the work on receiving stations of Pakharpora Hafroobatapora Panzan and Ranger which were sanctioned in our govt hasn’t yet been initiated and such a mode functioning of the present administration is causing immense hardships for the people of Char-e-Shaieif constituency.
