Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leader and former minister Naeem Akhtar visited Naz Colony, Nowpora Bandipora where early morning fire gutted a two story mosque- Masjid Noor on Saturday.
Akhtar interacted with the persons associated with the masjid administration and sought immediate government assistance in reconstruction of the mosque.
He also urged the Divisional and District Administration to provide all requisite assistance needed for rebuilding the masjid on priority.
Fire, as per the reports, broke out in the third floor of Masjid-e-Noor near at around 4:00 am causing extensive damage to it and left its two stories completely gutted.
